1. Be more organised
This one is super cliche but when your desk looks like mine, you know something has to be done. I think most people have this on their lists every year; you start the year really organised and tidy, and then roughly 2 months later you're back to square one. You know what I'm talking about right?
(Yes, this is my actual desk in it's raw, natural habitat...)2. Read at least 10 books
I know this may sound like such an easy number of books to get through, but when you've got my schedule and my short attention span, 1 book is an impossibility, let alone 10. So, along with being more organised, I'll hopefully be able fit in a ton more reading and not just Vogue or Elle, but actual, edifying books. I'm gonna start with Alexa Chung's 'It', then work my way through Lena Dunham's 'Not That Kind Of Girl' and #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso. Any more suggestions?
3. Perfect my skincare routine
I'm not at all unhappy with my current skincare routine, but I know for sure that with a few changes, I'll find the perfect combination for my skin. There are many products that I can't wait to try this year, like Liz Earl's Cleanse and Polish and the infamous Pixi Glow Tonic.
4. Become a Vegan
Having been a vegetarian for quite a few years now, I'm not a newbie to meat-free living, but the complete next step that I really want to take is becoming a Vegan full-time. If you're wondering why, well it's a combination of reasons but mainly health related. I'm so inspired by people like Freelee The Banana Girl and Fully Raw Kristina; they are living proof that Veganism is a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle that I'd love to be a part of.
5. Join a Gym
Yet another cliche choice, but again a resolution seen on probably millions of lists or mental lists for the new year. I've been to a few different gyms over the past couple of months, and although they've all got unique and differing things, the one thing they all share is that can-do attitude. All the members are there the get fit and maintain a level of fitness, and being amongst that kind of energy is the most motivating thing I know.
6. Buy a new bag
I know this one might sound a little strange, but for me buying a bag isn't the same as buying the bag. By this I mean, you can always buy an easy going, nice looking bag that gets you through the day or that party or whatever else, but the bag is the bag that you're more proud of than anything else, the one that when you've got it with you, you're 100% more confident. I already own that bag in the form of my (now probably vintage) nude pink bag from H&M that I purchased many, many years ago, but I believe it's time to find a new it bag. Let me know if you have any suggestions ladies!
7. Learn Spanish
I am well on my way to becoming fluent in French, and one aspirations (as if I don't talk about it enough) is to live in Paris, my favourite place in the world. However, learning only one foreign language just doesn't do it for me, and I've always had a fascination and yearning to speak the Spanish language. Wish me luck!
8. Get a beauty box subscription
I have always wanted to receive a cute little box, full of beauty goodies every month. I was contemplating which one to get but I'm still torn, and cannot decide which one to get. Hopefully once I do decide, I'll get going with that and have loads more things to talk about on my blog and in general. I love the surprises and the little gifts you receive, like it's your birthday every month.
9. Buy some new shoes
One of my day to day struggles is finding a pair of shoes that I can take anywhere, for anything and not worry about them being too bulky to too light. I currently rely on 2 pairs of Converse, some Dock Martins and a pair of Toms to wear on a day to day basis. I really to get a new pair of something that fits the bill and makes life so much easier. Again, please leave any suggestions you have.
10. Do something life changing
As if becoming a vegan and learning a third language was't life changing enough, I feel like I need to do something that will change my life, and finally take the plunge to make that move. I know it's hard to say what that may be now, but when the time comes to finally jump the hurdle and make the change to my life, I want to take it for once and not shy away from it as I seem to always do. Only time will tell.
I think 10 resolutions is plenty enough for me to tackle, so bring on 2015! Feel free to comment below about your new years resolutions and feel free to leave links to blog posts you've done already, I love reading them x
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
