Editor of HighStyleLife, Chloe Miller, has some great tips and info on skincare and treatments, I hope you enjoy!

When you are tired and sad, you feel like hundreds of years have been added to your own age, and that feeling sure can eat your guts out. It could be that you have noticed a couple of grey hairs on your head, or that your eyes are getting tired sooner, or it could be that your skin has lost its youthful freshness. There is always a choice – you can either sit and despair or you can do something about it. If you choose to do the latter, it means that there is still life and strength in you.

First aid at home
If it seems like all your DIY solutions are not working at all, and you feel like you’re running out of both time and patience, maybe it’s time to visit a specialist and see what they recommend. Maybe they will not recommend you to undergo a facelift surgery. It could be that your skin only needs some help to bet better and be as fresh as it used to be. Non invasive and non surgical solutions are becoming more and more popular so you will not have a problem opting for one solution which is helpful but not yet radical, like microdermoabrasion.
Surgical vs. non surgical solutions
Facelift surgery is rather effective but also rather invasive. It takes weeks and even months to fully recover and patients often don’t have that much time on their hands. They need equally effective but less invasive solutions which also mean less recovery time and less sick days off work. This is the reason why chemical peels, soft tissue fillers, and botox injections are so popular and so often asked for.

Botox injections
Out of all non surgical procedures, botox is by far the most popular. Botulinum toxin or botox, when injected into the area which has begun to be wrinkled, will paralyze the muscles which cause wrinkling thus reducing or completely eliminating fine lines on your face. Muscles will relax and in return your face will look smoother and refreshed. Even though the procedure itself is rather quick and easy it needs to be performed by a plastic surgeon so you would avoid some of the not so charming side effects like drooping eyelids or facial pain.

Tissue fillers
Collagen in your skin will decrease over time – it is completely natural and expected. This is the reason why your skin is beginning to lose its elasticity and volume, and begins to wrinkle. This is especially noticeable in the face, since skin on the face is gentle and exposed to the elements the most. You will notice the areas around your eyes, nose, mouth, brow, and jaw line get struck by collagen loss first, and these are the areas most often treated with dermal fillers. Your face will look better, lips will be fuller, wrinkles will be softened and even scarring from old injuries and acne will e less visible. Facial rejuvenation experts from skin clinic in Sydney state that it is very important to remember that this is only temporary solution, and that effect will wear off after several months, so you will probably have to repeat the procedure.

Most common skin conditions
No matter how much you would like to pick on those pesky acne all over your face, it would only make your problem worse. It's ok to make some DIY skin care mask at home, when you're dealing with just regular blemishes, but when it comes to bumpy, painful acne, you should definitely opt for a treatment at some clinic. There are numerous effective treatments to help you with this condition, which are not even that expensive. For example, I'd go with fruit acid, as it has rejuvenating effect,  and not only does it combat severe acne breakouts, but it also removes layers of dead cells, making surface imperfections go away.

That beautifully smooth skin we all had in our childhoods and youth could be gone, but it doesn’t mean that it is gone forever. If you act as soon as you notice signs of aging, you can slow down the process and look young for a while longer. There is no reason not to fight old age and desire to look young and beautiful is understandable. Luckily for us all, medicine and technology have come a long way and we have more ways to keep our looks than we did before.
