Those of you in Britain and some parts of France will know exactly what I'm talking about when I say we've not really experienced proper summer just yet. Whilst I'm eagerly awaiting the consistent hot, lovely weather, there's no harm in preparing my wardrobe for holidays, sunny days and the summer months that will
hopefully be coming soon. My favourite summer pieces tend to be flowy skirts, dresses, shirts and shorts paired with sandals or flip flops. Today I'm sharing my favourite JD Williams pieces for the summer, what are yours?
From the summer dress category at JD Williams, I'm wearing the Joanna Hope Layered Maxi Dress* one of my favourite styles this summer. If you're a regular reader you'll know I adore crop tops for all seasons, and I think they're so versatile and changeable to suit the time of year. In the case of this gorgeous Maxi Dress, the crop top is incorporated into the dress to drape nicely over the top half and the rest of maxi dress flows nicely from underneath. The layers are super flattering and you can imagine how flowy and airy it is, perfect for the hot weather.
In the colour Damson, this dress works perfectly with boots, sandals, or pumps, with the versatility to take it from day time casual to a more dramatic evening look. I love maxi dress' because they're so simple to style and whilst they work with a variety of shoe styles, there design is stunning on its own. My JD Williams maxi dress will get a lot of wear this summer, and each look can be different from the next. It's elasticated, and simply buttons at the back for a comfortable day or night look.
Like I said, this type of maxi dress works perfectly with sandals, flip flop,s boots, and pumps, of which you can find a variety in JD Williams' Sandals category. My Heavenly T Bar Jewelled Trim Sandals* in Turquoise, work perfectly with the soft purple of the dress, and add the pop of colour this looks needs. If you're wearing a plain dress or a look in need of a spark, just adding shoes like these will make for a stunning combination. Whilst these shoes do have a jewels on them already, you can add any jewellery (earrings, bracelets, necklaces) in keeping with the colour theme that won't be over the top. If there was a season to add a little more bling, it's most certainly summer.JD Williams site for all kinds of fashion bits for any season, and take full advantage of their 20% off sale and free delivery!
