If you're a regular reader, or know me personally, then you'll know I adore and worship facial spays as not only part of my standard skincare routine, but also a key element in my daily life for going to gym, outings and makeup touch-ups. I believe there's a facial spray out there for everyone that'll make you adore the concept of facial sprays all together; for me that was Caudalie's Beauty Elixir. Since using the bottle up, I have recently purchased a new one, which you'll be seeing in the near future; but today I wanted to chat about the new and latest sprays I've been using that are currently ticking all the boxes.
We all have that skincare brand(s)
I hope that we love but have literally none of their products yet; they've been on the wish list for a while and you're just waiting for the opportunity to break the bank buying their gorgeous products. Among a few, for me that's always been Mario Budescu. One of my most lusted after facial sprays was Mario's Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater Spray that I found on an off chance whilst in Urban Outfitters, of all places. I first heard about this spray from Carli Bybel, and since then I've wanted it so badly.
It smells gorgeous, absorbs super quickly into the skin and offers a very purifying, healthy glow. I like to use this after the toning stage in my skincare routine, but also as a perfect prep before makeup, as well as a setting spray once my makeup is done. Nothing beats a product so simple yet so versatile, and I'm chuffed to finally own it.
You may remember this spray from a while ago back when I was testing out the newly discovered beauty products from & Other Stories, and being a facial spray addict, this had to be something I tested out from their range. The Spray Genie Face Mist (amazing name right?) is probably on the more basic side of facial sprays, but gives a light coat of the purest, most non-offensive smelling spray you can get. I wouldn't recommend it for setting makeup since it is a very stripped down version of some other sprays, but its a perfect hydrating toner for anyones skincare routine. Plus, if you're still not sure hydrating toners are for you, this is certain to reassure you that over time your skin will reap the benefits of adding this stage to your routine.
Doux Me is probably a brand you've never heard of, and I was exactly the same when I first received some of their stuff to try in my Birchbox. A stand out product in their range however, is their Pure Spring Water Spray; again very basic, yet there's something about it that made me see a visible difference in my skin once I started incorporating into my routine. It's not cheap at £16, so I wouldn't say its a dupe for these products but it reminds me a lot of Avène's Eau Thermale and La Roche Posay's Thermal Spring Water Spray. Two things I've learnt from this discovery is that hydration is paramount to good skin and that the french just do things the right way don't they?
What are your current favourite facial sprays? Used any of mine?
